Bacon Cookbook

I love cooking with Bacon — it adds such depth and flavor to my recipes. A little bit goes along way, but as good as it is who wants to only use just a little bit?

Mary Beth Lawton Johnson

Our journeys mark where we have been and where we are going. Just as foot prints leave a path in the sand or a passport bears the stamps of places visited, one chef is Making ~~Waves~~ and creating "Ocean Fusion. A Book of Fin Prints" cooking coastal cuisine. Not just any woman but a mega yacht chef. (excerpt from Mary Beth Lawton Johnson's cook book) (tm 2009), (copyrighted 2008).

Chef Mary Beth Lawton Johnson, applies her theory to every dish she creates onboard, that "food is art" whether it is her "Ocean Fusion" cuisine based on her blue water passages to simple everyday dishes she prepares for the yacht crew. Follow Mega yacht Chef Mary Beth as she cooks coastal cuisine in every port. Now you can follow her on www.costaricanews.com

Mary Beth's passion for artful food began at an early age where she refused to follow the instructor's directions in class on how to make cakes. She had her own insight and ideas and today, that same idea is applied to her meals she creates onboard. She might have flunked out of that class and been known as a maverick, rebel but her food and style reigns at the top of the pier. Mary Beth has appeared in world wide famous magazines such as Good Housekeeping, Power and Motor Yacht, Hallmark Magazine, Caribbean Travel and Life, to guest appearances on television and as a celebrity chef, to being featured on line for such great sites as the Food Channel.com, Dartagnan, Albert Uster to being the celebrity chef for the AAO alongside other super star chefs such as Mr. Food. Chef Mary Beth attributes her style and creativity to hands on cooking, learning by doing, much as old masters of ships learned to sail. Today, she is considered one of the top celebrity mega yacht chefs in the industry but it took her a long time riding the waves to reach the ultimate crest.

"I was told I wasn't qualified to cook on yachts by a lead crew placement agent years ago and that set my engines in gear. I studied, slept with professional texts and eventually received the education I needed and when the agent passed away a few years ago, I wrote a little memoriam in testament for her inspiration."

Certified as a an Executive Pastry Chef and also as a Chef de Cuisine, Chef Mary Beth has cooked for Ladies and Lords, royalty to every day people and understands that food has to taste good as well as look good.

Next up for Chef Mary Beth is her cookbook, Making ~~Waves~~, Ocean Fusion, a Book of Finprints (copyrighted 2008) and her cooking show, Cooking Coastal Cuisine with Mega Yacht Chef Mary Beth produced by Burns Films in conjunction with Costa Rica News.com Her media kit is also available and you can now read about Chef Mary Beth online at www.marybethlawtonjohnson.com
